I see the light...

(Sigh) He ate two cheerio's this morning. I've nevver been so happy to see him eat Cheerio's. Then I offered him some applesauce, he said "yeah" and had about 5 little bites of applesauce. HOO-RAH.

So right now he is sitting, watching Charlie and Lola (thanks mom...) and he seems quite comfortable. He is due for his pain med's, but we are going to hold off till he really needs them. And he is only on 1 litre of O2, which is good, he usually on 3 or above and his sat's are currently in the mid 80's with just the one litre.

So BETTER DAY. Much better. We will be moving up to the floor around noon, and we'll see how he feels about his new location. The chest tube drainage is up to about 180, and still tapering. The tube won't come out till tomorrow....

Thank you again, for prayers and thoughts. They are working...

Hallelujah!!! Keep me posted on your needs my dear! I kind of think it was the visit from the Easter Bunny that prompted the turnaround.....

Hi, my name is Andrea Gunnell. I don't think I've left a comment before but I wanted to let you know that I've been thinking about your son and your family lately. I have a son with HLHS and he had his Norwood and Glenn last year. He is doing really well and I have to admit that I'm dreading the Fontan although I try not to think about it!
I'll continue to pray for your son that he will have a quick recovery. It's the small baby steps that count. Yay for two cheerios and five bites of applesauce!
